HOW TO ORDER BREAD - SEE BELOW
Welcome to our Sourdough Bread page, we are so glad you are here!
We are passionate about all things ‘organic’ that lead to better health and life. Farming, whole foods, flowers and sourdough breads. In today’s modern fast-paced, fast-food world, going back to the traditional ‘old ways’ seems like a really good idea especially regarding the foods we eat.
All of our breads are authentic, handcrafted and naturally leavened using a sourdough culture (starter) and the highest quality non-gmo, certified organic flours and the freshest organic ingredients available to bake premium loaves. Our dough is traditionally fermented before it is baked to give it the signature tangy sourdough flavor and to help break down the gluten making it easy to digest.
Every loaf starts with our “CLASSIC” recipe made with only 3 ingredients: Certified organic unbleached flours, Pure clean water (tested) and Himalayan salt. Ingredients you can feel good about eating. Clean. Simple. Delicious.

Locally grown “Certified Organic” flours. Every loaf of sourdough bread purchased from us has locally grown, fresh-milled, non-gmo, certified organic MN flour(s) in it from Sunset Creek Farm, a central MN family farm near Albany that has been producing certified organic grains for almost a decade.
WHY SOURDOUGH?
Not all bread is created equal – Sourdough is a nutritional powerhouse.
–Sourdough breads are naturally and slowly fermented, making it easier for your body to digest and absorb important nutrients.
–During the fermentation process the wild yeast and lactobacillus in the leaven break down phytic acid.
–The fermented flour contains prebiotics and has probiotic-like properties which are good for ‘gut’ support.
–Rating low on the glycemic index it helps regulate blood sugar levels and the slow fermentation process increases the availability of essential minerals like iron, manganese, zinc, selenium, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and folate.

“We live in Minnesota from May to the first of October, then we head to Texas for the winter. I brought back 3 loaves, 1 regular, 1 cranberry white chocolate and a cranberry walnut. Ohhhh mylanta the BEST bread ever!!! Now after seeing the lemon/blueberry and the blueberry wished we were there to load up on bread! It’s the best!!!!” ~Connie Theye Rowe
“Please tell Lisa the Organic Blueberry was the best bread I have ever had!” ~Tim Ferguson
“Hands down, the breads I buy from BRFF are the best! Each one I’ve tried is amazing, but if I could only have one, it would have to be the rye! Absolutely to die for!
Their flowers!! From last year’s Mother’s Day market, I took home a bunch of their stunning tulips. They lasted two full weeks on my table! Unbelievable!” ~Leigh Green
“I’ve been in love with Belle River for years. First as a “you pick” customer, bouquet customer, and then hiring them to do flowers for my Mom’s 90th. They were spectacular and reasonable. I love the breads too. Had the garlic focaccia last week for the first time and it might become my favorite. Thanks Lisa and Dan”💕 ~Linda Rice
“Belle River’s sourdough is easily the best bread I’ve ever had. The organic original is so versatile, great for sandwiches, toast, or dipping. Try making a grilled cheese with it! All the breads are great, but my personal favorite is the organic blueberry. Made with REAL blueberries!!” ~Carly Brown
“We absolutely love the bread we get from Belle River! Not only is it amazing sourdough but they use organic ingredients and filtered water. The convenience of being able to have the loaves sliced is a bonus. Don’t pass up their caramel rolls if they are available – you won’t be disappointed.” ~Russ & Pam Wilbur

Do you know Him?
“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:12-14
“But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9.
Simple prayer: Jesus, you died upon a cross and rose again to save the lost. Forgive me now of all my sin. Come be my Savior, Lord and friend. Change my life and make it new and help me, Lord, to live for you. Amen.
