Flower Care Your flowers should easily last a week and often longer if properly maintained. The only exception are Dahlia’s. They have about a 4-5 day vase life.At home strip the foliage off all of the stems if you haven’t already done so. Make sure no leaves or foliage are below the water level of your vase.Cut the stem at an angle so there is more area for the flower to drink water and stay hydrated.Place your flowers in cool water out of direct sunlight allowing them to sit for several hours before you begin arranging them. Every two days change the water, rinse and re-cut the bottom of the stems removing about 1″ for a longer vase life.Do not not display your flowers near ripening fruit. The ethylene gas from apples and bananas will shorten their vase life. Come create a perfect bouquet of your favorite flowers today!
